Born and raised in Baton Rouge, La., Gerald is a writer and currently serves a editor in chief of Chill Magazine, a print and digital brand designed for the millennial man of color.
He is former editor for The Rouge Collection, a Black-owned digital urban media outlet in the South; and former editor of Black AIDS Weekly, and has written for Heart & Soul, Sheen, The Advocate, Plus, Out Traveler, and Griot. Garth also co-hosts a weekly podcast entitled Oh! My Thirties.
A longtime health and wellness advocate, Garth also works with communities of color in South Los Angeles at the AMAAD Institute.
